There are literally thousands of content creators on YouTube these days. We’re definitely not in any shortage of content. The great thing about YouTube is that it’s not only a great place for creating and distributing content; it’s also a hub for finding knowledge, tutorials, and resources.
I mean, if you really think about it, you don’t actually need to spend money on expensive courses or books? You can pretty much find anything you want to learn about on YouTube, and for free too.
Yep, we’re inundated with content on YouTube. And for the most part, a lot of that content is worthy of our attention.
Of course, everyone with a YouTube channel has something to say these days. We all have different interests, so there’s something for everyone.
That said, if you’re a blogger or digital marketer, you want to get the most value from watching videos on YouTube, right?
And no, you won’t get any value watching random videos of kittens…
You’ve got to follow the users dedicated to creating valuable content and sharing the most reliable information.
I like to think of myself as a dedicated YouTube content creator. I love to create WordPress and website design tutorials. But as a blogger and internet business owner, I depend on YouTube as my main source of knowledge and information.
Now with smarter technology, especially mobile technology, we can consume videos on the go. That’s awesome, don’t you think? We can’t take that for granted, although most of us probably do.
You could be sitting on a train journeying back from work and watching a YouTube video. You could be waiting at the dentist and watching a YouTube video (not on tooth extraction fails). As long as you watch something useful and valuable, your time isn’t wasted.
You feel a certain connection whenever you’re watching someone on YouTube. At least, I think so.
That’s the beauty of the video medium. It can instill trust and credibility much more effectively than any other content medium, I think.
